The SharePoint Developer is a position responsible for maintenance and development of the JHC Intranet site by architecting, programming and deploying technical solutions for needs identified by the business.  The developer will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements, designing solutions and ensuring successful project delivery and overall customer satisfaction.  The developer will be heavily involved with workflow and documentation management through MOSS 2007, enabling partners and clients to easily share information.  In addition to development responsibilities, the developer will work with the Quality Assurance team on testing and the Technical Writer on any documentation necessary.

Role Responsibilities

 

·         Architect, develop and deploy technical solutions to needs identified internally and by business units using SharePoint and its related services

·         Understand and translate user interface and business requirements into implementation plan

·         Participate in design reviews with Business Analyst and Infrastructure to ensure the design will meet business requirements

·         Enable workflows through InfoPath, including surveys

·         Create custom Web parts for required site elements using C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net

·         Create custom controls and applications using ASP.NET

·         Create connections to systems to allow display KPIs and dashboards using Excel Services and SQL

·         Handle RSS feed integration and management (using SharePoint Web Parts and through XML/XSL)

·         Manage and expand enterprise search

·         Deploy secure external collaboration solution for document sharing (https)

·         Provide input to Quality Assurance team for test plan creation and execution

·         Ensure and manage platform scalability

·         Train key stakeholders on updating content

·         Identify new content areas
